When you get the chance to meet people from across this country, really good people, it re-affirms your sense of pride. You hear a lot about the differences between people, but there are also many deeply shared values. There are so many people who care, who are kind and considerate and who reach out and try to make a difference.”
- Rick Hansen

Rick Hansen inspired thousands of individuals, across this country and around the world during his Man In Motion World Tour (1985 – 1987) to donate what they could to help achieve his mission.

Since then, Rick and the work of the Rick Hansen Foundation continue to inspire individuals to support the cause at whatever level they can. Now we can state with certainty that these gifts have truly changed lives. And so, on behalf of the thousands of individuals who have been helped because of this generosity, thank you.

We have improved the quality of life for those who live with a spinal cord injury or other disability and through research we are much closer than ever to finding a cure. However, there is still a long way to go. The ongoing financial support from our donors is crucial in maintaining the incredible momentum we have built as our journey, together, continues.

If you would like to read some stories about the impact of these gifts, please visit The Hansen Effect area. If you want to read some stories about our donors, here’s the place to find them.
